During my study period at RMIT Brunswick, I was able to study Supply Chain Management course. In this course, we learned how to investigate in organizations that wish to succeed in a globally connected and in a competitive environment, requiring broader perspectives and motivation to adapt to change. Hence, our first assignment was based on two companies we chose deliberately to demonstrate the power of effective supply chains and how these organizations can improve their performance.

The two brands selected for the report are H&M and Stella McCartney. Both brands are known for demonstrating high standards of sustainability starting from the production to retail store. Thus, the information found in the literature review will help to make the brands more sustainable in the business.

VF Corporation is one of the largest Global fashion groups holding over 25 brands encompassing lifestyle, action and sportswear, and footwear. The top income generators of the corporation are The North Face, Wrangler, Timberland, Lee, Vans and a few other brands. Since its inception as a reading glove and mitten manufacturing company in 1899 in Pennsylvania, U.S., the company had been evolving through many different phases in its history over a century. The report does include a brief introduction to the two main competitors of VF Corporation, PVH and Ralph Lauren Corporations comparing the performance in 2017.

Conclusively, few recommendations, positive and negative aspects of some of the methodologies used by VF is further discussed from my point of view.
