In my first year at RMIT Vietnam, I enrolled in the Visual Merchandising course. I had five group mates in my team. Firstly, all the members had to draw individual window displays for the brand we choose. This display was supposed to be designed for Spring/ Summer 2016 collection.
We chose a warm coloured backdrop for the display to demonstrate that the collection reflects S/S 2016. Below the backdrop, the New York skyscraper is built in black, with words that closely symbolises the brand. At the centre of the window display, two mannequins are placed with two pairs of jeans with two long-sleeved t-shirts with Calvin Kelin prints, on top of a rectangular-shaped prop to give it an extra raise. A skateboard is aided as a prop for the display. On the window display, signage of Calvin Klein is pasted towards the right side of the window stating, "I Skate in@mycalvins".
Instead of finding Calvin Klein T-shirts, I bought two plain t-shirts. I illustrated the prints I wanted to print on the t-shirts, got them printed on a sticker paper. I pasted them on the t-shirt and pealed-off the area I wanted to be painted. This is simply like a stencil. Using a piece of sponge, I filled inside of the stencil in white. I repeated the same thing on the other t-shirt as well.
I have attached a softcopy below for further information of how my group did such an amazing job.
